Writing a book is a significant achievement; marketing it a significant opportunity. In such a complex industry, and with conflicting advice across the web, it’s often challenging to know when—and how—to ensure your book reaches its potential.

Through conversations between two industry experts, and a Q&A, you’ll learn:

  • How to develop a marketing plan to support your book;
  • Key strategies to promote your book off- and online, including:
  • Defining your audience;
  • What promotional materials you need;
  • How to maximise your presence online;
  • Methods to encourage community support;
  • The pros and cons of social media promotions;
  • What to consider when contacting influencers and bloggers;
  • Connecting with bookstores and retailers;
  • Ideal book marketing timing and more;
  • Common book marketing mistakes—and how to avoid them;
  • How to promote your book after the launch;
  • Tools and support documents to help you manage your campaign.

You’ll leave with insight about tried-and-tested industry practices alongside a series of practical tools to apply to your own promotions… and a free notebook from Total Graphics to jot down all your ideas!

This seminar is ideal for self-published authors, but trade and hybrid published authors are welcome.
