Sitting at the head of the workshop table, Meagan carefully listened to fellow writers share their stories. When the time came to share hers, Meagan was eloquent and charismatic as she told us about fulfilling her life’s dream to become a Registered Nurse. Then, she told us about how her dream was derailed in a traumatic car accident. Then, she double bounced us with…brain tumour.

Emotional to share and emotional to listen to – Meagan’s story will make you pause and nod your head with gratitude. Keep writing Meagan – get this story out soon!

1. How would you describe yourself in 2-3 sentences?
I am a creative, outgoing, imaginative, and action-oriented person. I am always striving to improve myself in areas of personal growth and spiritual development. I value mindfulness, daily meditation, and a healthy lifestyle to maintain a balance of mind, body and spirit.

2. Intrigue us – what is the most interesting part of your story?
The most interesting part of my story is the significant transformation that occurs based on a series of traumatic events. I chose to share my personal experience to inspire others to know that they can get through any life-altering circumstances. I include lessons of growth, and appreciation about life in hopes others may begin to find strength in whatever they may be going through.

3. When can we expect to read your book?
I hope to launch my book by Spring, 2019! Hopefully sooner :)

4. What makes you motivated to write when you don’t feel like it?
I chose to write when I am feeling inspired, as I feel my best pieces of writing come when I am inspired. So, I chose to surround myself with some of my greatest pleasures when I need a boost of motivation. This usually includes coffee, candles, my journal and some relaxing music in the background. I find a guided meditation seems to connect me with my creative side—motivating me to continue even if I don’t feel like it.

5. If someone reading this could help you, support you, or connect you with someone, who/what would it be?
I love networking with anyone who is also passionate about personal growth and spiritual development. Or anyone who finds the beauty and lessons from failure and challenging experiences. This may give me the opportunity to share my story to a new audience, or to open the door to other networking events.
