ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Maria Fazzari Larosa was born and raised in Vancouver, BC, to immigrant parents from Reggio Calabria. Growing up in an Italian household, her mother prepared the simplest most delicious authentic southern Calabrian Italian meals that bring family and friends together.

Maria’s nephew Luca was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at the age of two and to support the research, care and hope to one day find a cure, Maria donates partial proceeds of every book sold to Cystic Fibrosis Canada.

(It was also her nephew Luca who suggested she start an Instagram account,@mariascucina to share her cooking – which has grown an audience of tens of thousands of food-lovers!)
